Pakistan: Ancient Civilisation

In northern Pakistan, the Hunza Valley’s snowy peaks glow at dawn above terraced fields. This country’s landscapes are utterly dramatic – the sky-piercing Karakoram and Himalayan peaks (including K2) dominate the north, carving alpine lakes and glaciers.
Pakistan’s cultural tapestry is similarly rich. Ancient ruins of Mohenjo-Daro and Taxila whisper of the Indus Valley civilizations. Mughal masterpieces – Lahore’s Badshahi Mosque or the Shalimar Gardens – share splendour with Sikh and Hindu heritage.
