Bangladesh: Tropical Green Forests

ree

Bangladesh is a river kingdom – its geography shaped by hundreds of waterways and the vast delta of the Ganges-Brahmaputra. Its climate is hot and humid most of the year, with torrential rains in summer that turn everything a brilliant green. The countryside is dotted with rustic villages built on riverbanks and bamboo huts, where the scent of mangoes and spices fills the humid air.

In the northern region, there are Sylhet’s rolling hills cradling tea gardens and rivers with emerald green water. And in the southern region, there's the most famous natural wonder is the Sundarbans, the largest mangrove forest in the world. Here, a tangle of roots and trunks shelters Bengal tigers, spotted deer, and crocodiles.
